Hello Mrs B and Mrs L this task has been making me thinking a lot but i think the NHS and the government is an important because the NHS is saving loads of lives but also the government are giving away million of pounds to loads of company especially the NHS all of the other questions are on a word document.

Hi it's Ela here. My hero is my mum and sister because when I trapped my foot in the door this morning they helped me and did first aid to stop me going to the hospital. My sister cheered me up. We walk someone's dog who can't leave her house and we deliver food to some people around the village.

Hi Oliver,your're right, the NHS and the government are doing an amazing job. They are people just the same as us and they are having to work very long hours and put themselves at risk, be real heroes, to make sure that we are all as safe as possible. We are sure that they all appreciate the thankful and appreciative thoughts that you are having.

Hi Ela, OUCH! We hope you are feeling a bit better now. Thank heavens your mum was there to be your hero this morning and avoid you having to go to hospital. Well done for showing real friendship and being a hero for others by helping people in your neighbourhood, Ela. I'm sure the dog loves being taken out by you - they always go crazy at the opportunity of a walk! Keep up the good work!

Hi James, your lovely grandma sounds like she was an amazing lady - how lucky she is to have you remembering her and keeping her in your thoughts. We think the bank holiday is Friday 8th May, James. Normally the early May bank holiday does fall on the first Monday of May. However, the Government announced last year that there would be a change of date in order to mark the 75th anniversary of VE Day (Victory In Europe Day) and the end of the second World War. Just to warn you, we won't be posting a class blogg on that day - Friday May 8th - because it is a national holiday. Mindyou, don't let that stop you from celebrating something of your own this weekend - especially if we do get some lovely sunshine. Take care!

Hi Esme, a birthday girl on May 24th - a very good reason for liking this month! We agree with you. The NHS are very big stars and heroes who are always working to keep us well and are giving above and beyond to deal with this unusual crisis. This is maybe a good time to remember and to appreciate that these special people - carers, police, NHS workers and the fire service, have always been and are always there for us. Dear Mrs L, Mrs B and Fox class, How has everyone been? It has been so long I have forgotten what you all look like! I’m sorry I haven’t written on the blog sooner, but we have been so busy that I haven’t got round to it. Before all of the wet weather, my family and I were always outside. Whether it was planting or going for bike rides in the woods, we’ve never had a boring day, we are fortunate to live where we do with a lovely garden. In addition, I have been writing a diary everyday since the start of lockdown so that people in the future could use it to see what it was like during the global pandemic of 2020. Because of lockdown my family and I have been in the woods behind our house more often so we can get our weekly daily walk. Before lockdown we didn’t normally explore different places in the woods as much, so being in isolation has really benefited our little dog Frankie. As well as walks, we have also been for many bike rides around the woods near us ( we live in the woods). In our garden, our whole family have been doing some planting. So far we have planted, carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and chillies. On the side of many beautiful flowers and fruits, we have been watching our tadpoles grow into frogs. It has been exciting watching their life cycle progress even if the chickens think that the tadpoles are sushi! On that note we are now getting up to 6 eggs a day from our lovely chickens. While I am loving being home and playing with Florence, I sometimes need some space, so one of my most favourite things to do so far, has been updating my den with daddy. My den now has power and lights so it is ready for when I have sleepovers. I also enjoy chilling and doing some of my schoolwork in there. It’s been great having daddy home and hanging out with him has been awesome!!! He is normally really busy at work. When we’re not outside having loads of fun, we like to snuggle down and watch some movies. My favourites so far have been the Harry Potter collection that we have been re-watching. Meanwhile, I have been working really hard on my schoolwork so we can chill in the evenings and so that I can play on my phone. Mummy has been on my case to make sure I do everything I need to so that I am ready for when we go back to school. I am enjoying being homeschooled but I do miss everyone. Luckily technology today is so advanced that I can see my friends while social distancing. I have spoken to a lot of the year 6s, who I might not see if we go back to school in September. Maybe we could set up a class fox zoom call? This week, because it has been raining, I have done a lot of sewing. I enjoy sewing as I find it relaxing and it is a fun way to pass time when we can’t play in the garden. Thank you for reading my blog. Hi there Isabella, it's so lovely to catch up with all that you have been doing. We thought you would be working and playing hard! Your den sounds very 'dez rez' - you'll have to start taking sleepover reservations. It's great to hear that you are keeping a daily record of this really special time so that we can look back on it in the future. There have been some definite silver linings - you sound so happy to be able to spend some special time with your dad and are making the most of every minute. Clearly developing very green fingers and really enjoying the nature all around your home. Poor little tadpoles - however, your description of them being your chicken's 'sushi' is very apt and funny. Mrs Baronne has also been watching the Harry Potter movies - they are a favourite of Mrs Laurie's too but unfortunately her DVD player is on the blink at the moment! We have a problem with Zoom in school - the firewall doesn't allow it, so we can't Zoom from the premises. We'll have a think if there is anything we can do and get back to you about it. We really miss you too and can't wait until we are all back together. In the meantime, have a lovely weekend and stay in touch!
