Design and Build

This weekend I (Mrs B) went for a walk with my family. We visited an old golf course that has been turned into a nature reserve. It was amazing to see what the owners had decided to do with the land and how many animals have moved in!

The owners of the golf course could have built houses on the land or even a shop but they decided to give it back to nature and allow the public to enjoy a new outdoor space.

If you were given a piece of land, and could build anything you like on it, what would you build and why.

Good morning everyone!! What a great idea to turn an old golf course into a nature reserve. If I was given a piece or f land and I could build whatever I want on it, I would build stables for troubled horses and fields where I could exercise them. I find this would be a great use of land as I would be able to rescue horses that have been abused or frightened and make it possible for them to go back to their homes. Stay safe, Isabella

Hello Mrs B and Mrs L If i had a piece of land given to me i would maybe build a massive hut for something like a spare bedroom or more like a storage room for all of my stuff so it is not that messy in my house.

hello class if i was given a bit of land i would make a tree house and houses and fish ponds and adventure play parks. It's nearly Noahs birthday. On the week end i went for a walk along a river and then i had pizza on the cricket pitch. From Zachary

Hello everyone If I had some land I would build a teddy factory on it and make teddies to give to all the children in the world. I think this would be kind. Marie and Craig are building a house on some land and I am helping them. We have dug out the ground and made big ditches and started to get ready to put the walls up. I am excited because I will have a room of my own and can decorate it with stars and unicorns.🦄🏡🧸

If I had a piece of land I would like to turn it into an area for astronomy. I think it would be good if we could all get a chance to see things in space more clearly. It can be hard to see things from home sometimes because of the street lights and neighbours might think I am spying on them . It would be open to people who really appreciate Astronomy and would like to learn lots about it. I think this would make lots of people (including me!) happy!!!

Hello Oliver, I think your family would love that idea! Especially if it helps to keep your house tidy. What great fun it would be to have a whole hut to yourself as your bedroom! I wonder how you would decorate it? Mrs L & Mrs B

Hello Helena, A great idea! Yes, I also find it difficult to look at the night sky where I live sometimes. The light pollution from our towns and cities can cause great problems. I'm sure you would have lots of visitors! Mrs L & Mrs B
