SpaceX

Over the weekend the Spacex and NASA teams successfully launched the first commercial rocket from America since 2011. This was a huge moment in space travel! The 'Dragon' carried Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley to the International Space Station. They arrived safely on Sunday and have now begun their stay upon the station. While there, they will help to conduct important scientific investigations and work which will continue to inform the space research that has been happening since the station was opened.

Did any of you see the launch? There are lots of highlight videos on YouTube. Ask your adults to help you find one to watch. NASA also have their own website and videos, ask your parents to help you find these too.

Have you ever thought about going into space? We wonder if you guys will get the chance to. If you could go into space would you and where would you go?

Hello Mrs L and Mrs B! I watched the Space X/ Nasa Dragon live stream at the weekend and it was amazing! I watched Robert and Douglas float through the hatch into the International Space Station. I would love to go into space but I would be concerned about how safe it is. I would like to go everywhere possible in space. Have a good day!

Hi Mrs L and Mrs B Hi if I went to space I would just go to the moon to see the sunrise and sunset from out of our atmosphere and to see what the moon looks like in our owns eyes. I want to see what all the holes on the moon look like too. Do you think there will be an anybody living on the moon? Me my mum and my sister watched the video of the rocket in the sky. It looks like a bunch of flames rising up into the sky. I think its because of the video was filmed by the bottom of the rocket because at the bottoms of all the rockets there have like a flare which boots them up. Do you think anyone has made 1 of the holes on the moon by crashing or something like that maybe even failing at making a solar panel on the moon the see how much sun they get, that could blow up easily in space.

YAWN!!! Im tired! I will be sleeping in my own bed tonight! In my fish tank i have two fan tail gold fish, two Coriadoras and one Rosy Barb and a Zebra Danio. I'm hoping to get three or four Tetras too. I don't want to go to space, i would rather go swimming with fishes. I have been doing a bug hunt today and found a toad! I am doing a Bug Bingo sheet from the 30 Days Wild Challenge from the Wildlife Trust. I still need to find a rabbit, blackbird, sparrow, ladybird, an animal shaped cloud, caterpillar, a daisy, worm, clover and a snail! I have already crossed off 15 things.

If I went into outer space I would like to travel to a far galaxy so that i could have an adventure for a little bit. I would not like to meet an alien but i would like to meet some alien animals and see some new plants which i can bring back home.🌌👾

Hi everyone,The other night we had a picnic and we didnt see it but we talked about but when i went to bed we think it happned then and some of my mums friends put pictures of it on facebook. I wouldnt want to go to space but if i ever did i would visit mars. also i would jump on the moon! From Ela Stay safe

Hi Helena, The moment they floated through the hatch into the Space Station was fantastic wasn't it! I think space travel seems to be getting safer as technology advances. Maybe you will make it into space one day. Mrs L & Mrs B

Hello James, Its amazing the amount of video footage available to watch of the launch! We are very lucky. Wouldn't it be fascinating to live on the moon. I wonder if you will see people move to the moon when you're older. I think the idea of the holes on the moon being made by something crashing is great, I wonder if it could have been a spaceship! Hi Zachary, Wow you have been busy with your Wildlife Challenge! I can hear a blackbird on the playground, so I know they are around. Your fish tank sounds fantastic, have you seen xray tetra? I have some in my tank, they are not as colourful but I find them great to watch. I hope you get some better nights sleep now you have finished your camping! Mrs L & Mrs B

Hi Ela, The sightings of the Space Station were late at night, the last was around 10.20pm! Your picnic sounds lovely though, glad you got to make the most of the nice weather while we had it! Mrs L & Mrs B
