A new start
As you will know, schools across the country will begin to open to more children starting today. Over the next few weeks Whitewater will see more pupils return slowly. Unfortunately, it won't be everyone right now and this means for most of you guys you will continue your Home Learning for the time being. We will continue to post suggested activates and carry on the blog. Over the next few days, your adults will receive a letter explaining your learning for the next few weeks, so keep an eye out for this.
School is looking very different at the moment and it might not be the same when you eventually return, we just don't know. Right now our classroom has had most of the desks removed. There are 7 left, all spaced apart to keep everyone as safe as can be. Breaktimes and Lunchtimes look different, with each group having their own section on the playground as we are not allowed to play with different groups. Everyone is going to try hard to keep 2m apart. We are all having to get used to a new routine but we know that the children of Whitewater will work hard to adapt.
So, as we look towards your eventual return maybe now is the time to begin getting into a really good daytime routine (if you aren't already). By this we mean, getting up at the same time each day and having your learning and play planned into chunks to help structure your day.
Today we'd like to know how you are structuring your day. Have you designed your own timetable?
We miss you all and cannot wait to have you all back in school together again. You should be very proud of yourselves, you have worked so hard over the past weeks and have adapted to these strange times so well. We are very proud of you! Keep going!
